FAQ: How do I change my password?

Changing your password is a simple process. Just follow the directions below.

Action(s) Required:

1.) Click on the "keys" icon located next to the Start button (on the lower left-hand corner of your screen.) The UMHS Profile Window appears.

2.) In the UMHS Profile window:

Enter your user name in the "User Name" field
Enter your current password in the "Password" field (shown above)
Click OK. The UMHS Profile window appears again, this time with four tabs. Click the tab marked "Level 2". (shown below)

3.) In the Level 2 Password Reset window:

Enter your current Level 2 password in the "Current Level 2 Password" field
Enter your new password in the "New Level 2 Password" field
Enter your new password in the "Retype New Level 2 Password" field
Click "Submit Changes".

Your new password goes into effect immediately. Should the system reject your new password, please see Choosing an Acceptable Password for instructions on how to choose an acceptable, secure password.
